The much talked about Anambra rice which Agu Awka and a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria claimed it is sold 9,000 naira only has turned out to be a lie, deceit and wicked propaganda.

Senator Ben Murray Bruce on August 27, 2016 took to his twitter handle and rebroadcast a tweet from one May Ubeku claiming that Anambra rice owned by Akai Egwuonwu From Anichi, Nnewi South LG is sold at 9,000 naira and available in all markets in Nigeria.

The tweet also praised Obiano for this feat and ignored the owner of the rice company who despite the harsh business environment in Nigeria was able to establish this rice company in his home town and grew it.
The false tweet from Senator Ben Bruce went viral and Agu Awka celebrated it with all the governor's aides hailing Ben Bruce for supporting the obvious lies and deceit which Obiano has used to rule the state.
Today, the sole distributor of Anambra rice in a press statement stated clearly that Anambra rice is not sold and was never sold at 9,000 naira and warned people like Ben Bruce and Obiano aides to desist from this lie and stop deceiving the public.

Though the distributor refused to disclose how much the rice is being sold stating that the fluctuating price of the commodities in the market necessitated it. He only made his phone number available for those wishing to buy the product.
Mr Mike Nweke Okechukwu of Akaeze Int'l who signed the statement called those broadcasting on social media that the rice is sold at 9,000 naira "419" and asked the public to beware of them. Senator Bruce also peddled it.

So a Nigerian senator can broadcast a 419 business? Does it mean a senator like Ben Bruce can not verify his news before he joins in selling 4 19 messages to Nigerians?
Is Ben Bruce still fit to remain in the red chambers?

It is only a greedy person that will fall for such scam knowing fully well that some people are naturally gullible.
